The first 4 left to right back row I believe are: Bluebaugh (Bloomington), Patascil (Logansport), Kepner (Warren Central), and Palmer (Muncie South)
The first 2 in the front row are possibly Leavell (Indianapolis Tech) and Taroli (Hammond).
I can’t remember for sure but I think that this IHSAA State Finals was the last year to be held at Southport High School.

ISU and Notre Dame both should still have D1 wrestling.
It’s a shame how both programs were discontinued the way they were.
I keep hoping that other BIG name D1 schools will also bring their teams back.
LSU, Syracuse, Kentucky, etc...

He beat John Smith (Oklahoma State) during their college years.

Hopefully they can keep a decent number out and putting forth a good effort. They started to have a active club team a few years back but then some of the leadership graduated and I thing they have trouble keeping a faculty sponsor. Good luck to them in getting things going again.

DECATUR, Ind. (21Alive) - Longtime Bellmont wrestling head coach B.J. Faurote has retired.The team announced Thursday that Faurote is hanging up the head gear after 27 seasons as head coach.
Faurote compiled a 576-78-2 record (87.8 percent winning).
During his tenure, the Braves won the 1994 state championship, 3 state runners-up, 14 semi-states championships, 19 regional championships, 24 sectional championships and 20 conference championships.
As a student, Faurote won the 1980 state championship in the 98-lb. weight class.
He was inducted into the Indiana Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2012.
