  1. I got this from the rules book AAU site: 4. All American a. For an athlete to be considered an AAU Wrestling All American he or she must finish in the Top Six (6) at either the AAU Folkstyle World Championships or the AAU Grand Nationals. All American honors are awarded to those who win Gold or Silver Medals at the AAU Junior Olympic Games and the AAU Scholastic Duals. All American honors awarded at the Scholastic Duals and the AAU Junior Olympic Games will include an All American patch. The Community Final results page is not totally accurate. I didn't check all results, but my son told me that a kid listed as Gold had lost a match and a kid listed as Silver had lost a few. I went back thru each days results, and the kid listed gold did lose one and the other kid listed as Silver went 6-6. I sent an e-mail to the AAU and they adjusted those two. But when I looked at my son's team again, I found three more kids listed as Silver; One kid lost 3 and the other two kids lost 2 each. So the only way to get it all corrected is to go thru each wrestlers daily results and match it to the medal they have them listed at, then send an e-mail to the AAU with the correct results.
  2. Borderwars has individual tournaments all summer and right up to the start of the high school season. Most are in Michigan. Look it up at www.borderwarswrestling.com .
  3. Border Wars goes all summer, all the way to the start of next season. The Border War Nationals was on 11-7-2009.
  4. If you want to see all the Final Brackets, ( with all the results), go to www.trackwrestling.com . You will see a listing of tournaments, hit next 50 until you get to 201-250, scroll down to ISWA Folkstyle State Finals, click on it, then click enter tournament, it will give all the brackets with all the results. The completed tournaments will always be after the future tournaments, so this location 201-250 will not be the same as more tournaments are added.

  10. Actually I had Quiroz over Lefever, then Willis over Quiroz.
  11. Not really an upset Lefever was 2seed , Quiroz was 3seed.
  12. Chris Hogendobler didn't wrestle until last year, he did alright in his 1st year, but got sick the day of the NLC conference. The coach put in the JV wrestler that Chris beat out, Drew Lopez and let Drew wrestle for state, he made it to Semis. Chris wrestled all the USA Tournaments he could, went to open mats at Mishawaka, Penn, and Memorial, went to a couple camps( Michigan Extreme, Culver Military, and American Elite), went to Border War Tournaments, and Border War Nationals, and he worked out hard on strength and conditioning. Then this year he made it to the second round of the Semi-State, was winning 12-7 and got pinned. He finished with a 21-6 record, losses to Corp twice, LaRowe twice, Pickard, and Weber. This year he will do alot of the same, go to alot of open mats, join Penn Wrestling Club, hit alot of tournaments, and work out hard.
  13. The only time we had seen Weber wrestle was the first round match, which I don't think he used that move in, and we had not heard of his headlock expertise. But that is not my point, my point was that Hogendobler had that same move put on him once in the match already, and attemped 3-4 other times in the match. So Chris should have not put himself in position for that move. I notice that LaRowe wrestled wrestled him very safe afterwards, not really attemping cradles and keeping his head clear. My whole point was that Chris made a mistake. Not that Weber is a subpar wrestler. I believe him to be an excellant wrestler. And why am I getting negetive cool points for this discussion.
  14. I never stated that he was caught in the headlock, I stated that Weber attemped that move serveral times during the match, and that Hogendobler possibly could have realized it and not put himself in that position.
  15. Yes I'll try to put it on YouTube Monday, I'm working at the firestation today.
  16. I replayed the match a couple times, heres the scoring, Hogendobler takedown, Hogendobler 3 nearfall cradle, Hogendobler 2 nearfall(7-0), Weber reaches back while Chris is on top and gets a headlock 2 reversal 3 nearfall(7-5), 3rd period Chris takes bottom, escape 1, takedown 2, about 40 seconds left 3rd period Chris cradle 3 nearfall (13-5), Weber headlocks reversal (13-7) pin! The only move Weber threw on Hogendobler was headlock while Chris was in dominating position, 3-4 headlock attemps with no results and two with results, he did no other moves, and yes he did not need other moves because he won. My point being the only move Weber threw the whole match was defensive headlock, 4-5 times, once gaining 5 points, Chris should have expected it coming again. And nothing against Weber he is a very good wrestler.
  17. Hogendobler blew it, he manhandled Weber the whole match 13-5, then gets pinned near the end by headlock.
  18. JOHN MAHLAN - JR. (27-11) - BELLMONT vs. AARON MASON - SO. (27-12) DEKALB Two NHC rivals Yes that part of the bracket; John Mahlan(27-11), Aaron Mason(27-12), Chad Kirtlan(21-11), and Zack Zurbrugg(29-11), looks very tight scorewise. Mason beat Zurbrugg 4-1 and Zurbrugg beat Mahlan 7-6.
  19. Concord High School had a 2 hour delay today, otherwise no missed school or practice.
  20. High school weight about 150, now 190, I have more muscle now, but still should lose about 10lbs.
  21. At Goshen, I somehow got by with a backpack. But sounds like that is not gonna make it, if they frisk you. Man do they have dogs sniffing you down or what? At Goshen I took stuff I know I wouldn't find there, blueberries, walnuts, protein bars, and water. Can you leave between matches, or are you locked in?
