  1. @TeamGarcia of course!! Go back and look at the activity and post on the youth forum back when Asa and his crew were making the youth rounds. Dude was moving the needle!!! With that said!!!!!…. Youth forum has became a ghost town. Garcia get back on there and get this next generation going. Joe needs those thousands of views and post… Dig deep and make up something more annoying … errrr … awesome then #TheCounty. #ReviveTheTheYouthForum
  2. I’m trying to be nice about this with you. Clearly your kid has knee issues also. He had two very large knee sleeves on!! Is that just for looks? With that said, the issues popped up again Friday night. He made it that far.. he wasn’t going to quit after that. According to your post, im guessing your kid would have called it a season??? He did all he could and had to default in placement match when he couldn’t go anymore. By keeping going he helped the team win it. He’s feeling ok today and had no regrets and can’t wait for his ring. So to recap your concerns… 1. He took multiple injury times In the win against your son… that’s false 2. He took injury times during the match when he was about to get turned… false only stoppages were potentially dangerous calls by the best ref in the state. Injury time was taken after the knee was bent all crazy. Once it was stable he continued and continued to take shots in the third. 3. Now your issue is the culture of my family of hoe we handled this injury this season. I assure you my son had the best doctors, trainers avg physical therapist possible. You can’t just say… “nothing personal” and then question my kids integrity, my family culture and my parenting. That’s the definition of personal… Sour grapes much??? Again I’m trying ti be civil but you’re making it difficult. Let’s get this knee right and Caden will give him a rematch in a few months. Would that make you happy? I promise he will be a lot better then. I’m over this discussion. Again, super proud of my kid my state champs.
  3. Go back and watch the match was stopped because his knee was in a very weird position and the ref called it potentially dangerous. Injury did not stop it. The ref did. The hand on the head by a ref indicated potentially dangerous. The second stoppage was when your son got over 90 on the wing. Listen to the announcers. They said it was over 90 for a good while. It wasn’t stopped due to injury. The one and only injury time was taken after he tried to stand up after the first ref stoppage and the knee jiggled. If there were multiple injury times your son would have gotten choice. it is what it is. But.. maybe watching the match again will clear things up . I’m done arguing about it. They both had great seasons. Here’s he match in question all. The one and only injury time took place when his injured knee got really bent up. If he won without integrity and doesn’t deserve the win.. then I’m sorry. https://www.flowrestling.org/people/9785325-caden-brewer/video?playing=12134938
  4. Didn’t want this to be known, but now the cats out of the bag. The injury occurred again over the summer late. The choice was to fix it and miss the season or to tape it up and try to grind it and repair it after season. He chose to wrestle as it couldn’t get any worse and to get it fixed now (after season). With that said, it popped out and back in Friday night. It freaked him out. It was slipping all weekend. If he doesn’t set it when it slips, it can go all the way out. Long story short, he didn’t make it through his placement match and we were ok with what he accomplished this season. With all of this said… He has wrestled CP 4 times. Cruz twice and Will Clark twice. You guys never had a single drink during those losses. Never took injury against those monsters. Lastly.. if you are questioning the toughness or integrity of my kid.. you have never met him or the rest of my family. We don’t roll like that. Feel free to call and discuss. The author of this post @Chris Coopercan attest for how tough my boys are. My oldest wrestled for him one summer. Busted his eye wide open at Disney. We glued it shut with super glue 5 times to ensure Columbus East got 6 every round. He still rocks his scar with honor. Proud of my son and proud of my state champs!!! Crazy how the only hate in this site over the last few days is directed to the big three. That’s the world we live in now… 10 years ago all you would see is love for kids and hard work. We live in a society where people hate everyone and everything. It’s just sad!!!! Matt Brewer 317-201-0644
  5. Yes bout to head south to Casa de Mattyb very soon…. pesos will be very much appreciated. I can buy a car for $10 US down there! Mrs Mattyb goes Friday to relax after the grind…. so…. the sooner the better with that El Dinero! Im going down there soon. Going to sit on the beach for a while, then toss my passport. Planning on walking back to get some free insurance, phone, flight home and prepaid credit card!
  6. I concur with my brother @TeamGarcia .. it was a great experience. Soooo happy I booked a room for last night. I love the venue. The wrestling was amazing. Not allowing people leave is ridiculous. It’s not a 2 hour basketball game. I just kept buying new tickets to leave. Sooo good seeing all of my friends. @Y2CJ41 @ontherise219 @TripleB and crew were everywhere! You guys did a great job covering the event and keeping us in the know. The broadcast from Chasers was a great time! All the young dudes enjoyed Buds!!!! They had very cold “soda” at Tiki!!!! Would not be mad if it’s there again!
  7. Brownsburg returning a bunch of State placers. Max Forrester will be very tough at HWT next year. He was still raw this season. Watch out for my guy!!!
  8. Guys that have never wrestled or will ever understand what these kids and families sacrifice make up rules on how a kid and team can celebrate. Word is that they tell kids that they can’t eat PB&J during faceoff … no matter how hungry you are!!!
  9. He still helps at Pike middle school!!! My middle school team duals them tonight. Hopefully I get to see him. I tell my kids all about him when we see him!!!
  10. Two time state champ from Ben Davis Cameron Smith. That guy was an athletic freak!
  11. I have two words to end stalling…. wait for it…… wait for it…… Jimmy Russel!!!
  12. The kids and families that made it. Earned it! The mental wear and tear on a wrestlers family is unknown to anyone who hasn’t done it. Adding this stress of tickets at the end of this long grind is a bunch of crap. We just need to pull together as a wrestling community. Please help eachother as much as possible. The kids parents and coaches have sacrificed sooo much, just to have the IHSAA roll out this thoughtless process and make us all stress more. I pledge if I get any extras, I will be sure to give them to a wrestlers family. Let’s keep the info coming as we learn and help everyone out.
  13. $51 for two tickets one session! Gotta go back to Ballys next weekend to make enough to pay for it all!
  14. @Y2CJ41 you did a great job this year.
  15. We only get 2 this year too! 4 last year!
  16. We talk about this all the time at my house. My son was 182 here in Indiana last year but with our national schedule had to cut to 175 to wrestle in Ohio (which was very tough). With that said, I told him that after Brecksville last year, that he would never see 175 again. Henry is our 190 and my son is taller. So we knew a bulk job had to be done. It’s been rough packing on the pounds and muscle to go from 175 to 215 in one year. I think just recently he’s hitting his stride as a 215 pounder. With that said, it’s been tough. Your suggestion would make much more sense. Kinda cool to see someone acknowledging this. Thanks.
  17. Not sure who you saw… Preston is at the hospital. again… prayers will be appreciated
  18. Just talked to Schaefers youngest son. He confirmed that Snyder defaulted. I mean that’s a pretty good source. We all Just need to prayers to Preston. And know the right thing was done. Btw… just ran into @TripleB he somehow smuggled a full thing of mints in today!!!
  19. Whatever buddy! maybe heartbroken for his kid that just wrestled his last match. Geeez
  20. Yes… in one of the classiest moves that I ever seen. Coach Snyder defaulted. Couldn’t be more proud of our staff!
