  1. Worth the price of admission! Did my heart good.
  2. Now, it would be nice if the two new entries into the conference would start up a varsity wrestling team.
  3. Yeah I don’t think fielding a wrestling team was a prerequisite to entering the conference.
  4. They want you to buy brackets at venue
  5. That is what you get for loosing all that butt weight! I won’t bother me!
  6. The facility has half of the seating , individual seats. Only some will ride the pine!
  7. The decision is in March? Right?
  8. Sounds like you’ve been there. Or are from there. Thanks
  9. Not the case this year, at semi state. Hardly knew they were there. (Except at the scorers tables)
  10. If I could, wouldn’t mind a good happy hour place for Friday. We will land early.
  11. I’m all about food, son and I are always looking for local haunts not big on the chain scene, that have quality food. seafood, good steaks.
  12. Pre allocations ,NCAA,have the big ten getting 10 men at 157,8 at 165 and just 7 at 174. All the rest of weights get 9 from the conference
  13. Tough weight class for under class men.
  14. 57 ,in the BIG, is tough also. The allocations are out , and to no surprise ,the conference gets the most.
  15. Indiana top seed, DJ Washington at 6, 7 seed is Rooks at 149. Then Bullock is an 8 seed. Man the conference is a meat grinder.
  16. It is getting really bad. Guys 24 and 25 years old still collegiate eligible. They are graduating from high school at 19 years old. Or past that.
  17. I’ll be there also . 2nd best event of the year. Normally no ducks.
  18. Quick question, is anyone on here attending? Ann Arbor is fairly close to most of Indiana. It’s good wrestling in a compacted weekend,Saturday-Sunday format.
  19. Mmmm…..I’m thinking March. Any other guesses out there?
  20. I finally figured it out! Let’s see , I was 17 at senior graduation, would be 18 the following July. No wonder ! I just thought I wasn’t any good.
  21. Has been happening for years. All sports. Not as prevalent in years past as it is now. (Sports parents) In Indiana more of this started with basketball and AAU stuff.
  22. So summing up what’s the secret to these schools becoming hammers in the state, seems to be the extra work put in at all levels provided by academies. Does this go back to the MD era? Or PM dominance? What about Griffin High School in the 2000’s? Did they get to that stage by relying on academies? I’m not so sure. Hell I remember in the late 60’s to early middle 70’s Bloomington High School ,Kay Hutsell ,was a squad nobody wanted to face. And even continued after they split Bloomington school in half, a lot of the wrestlers went to the new north school, Bo Henry ,and continued the dominance. Was there even academies then? Maybe not as dominant bet Delta comes to mind, at that time a new suburban school, that I’m wondering if the academy ,or out side of school, training existed?
  23. Also known as the mini NCAA championship. It’s in AnnArbor , Chrysler arena this year. March 4th and 5th. If you can’t attend the NCAA championships this is a good substitute to attend. It’s Always a great prelude to the ncaa final show. Lots of Indiana talent will be on display. I’m sure they’ll have the whole thing broadcasted live,if you can’t attend.
