  1. Purdue was out maned tonight. They have lots of young guys in lineup. They will get better. Indiana produced tonight. Two lower tiered big ten teams trying to keep some respectability. Good crowd for both teams. Clean fun match for the state to watch.
  2. We may see them. Although Washington seemed iout of sorts against Dom Solis last week. Solis ,4-4 record ,gave him everything he wanted in the match ,as DJ wasn’t full throttle. Injuries adding up maybe?
  3. Plus probably, streaming. Look for me on first row giving Escobedo and Red pointers
  4. Nice write up duck! I haven’t been following the local this year, but this peaked my interest again.
  5. Of course! Ask any Hoosier fan! I say hold back a few starters to make it more even. Or have some of the IU guys tie one arm behind their backs. You get the picture. Any other questions?
  6. I liked that Elijah Oliver got a shoutout at half time as he is an assistant at Maryland.
  7. I know Dixon had a presence in tje east for a few years but everyone else Red, Escobedo and LeFever are kinda Indiana guys. I know Jordan had a presence in Wisconsin and home state of Ohio but he flew the coop. I do know the coaches have to go looking, cause most elite ain’t lookin at Indiana. All said , the room looks better every year.
  8. All look good. Who would you say have AA possibilities? washington, Gilcher, two tough weight classes but. Maybe Bullock, heavies at the top clearing a little after this season.
  9. Ok, well at this point if that’s what it takes! I didn’t know if it was Angel or who? Some coaches are better at recruiting than others. McFarland, ex Michigan coach was a master. He left Goldman a good influx of talent at Indiana before going to Michigan.
  10. I don’t have any secrets . Ask me anything! I’ll give you an answer. It might not be right, but it will be quick. Y2CJ41 probably has lots of secrets. He’s knee deep in the wrestling community.
  11. So who’s responsible here for this influx of talent all of a sudden? Assistants or collaboration of all ?
  12. I’m in agreement here. The disparity between the haves vs. the have nots in he big ten is way out of alignment now.
  13. Maryland comes to Bloomington Sunday 2pm contest. Not sure what to expect from Indiana because of it’s dinged up starters. Hopefully the guys stepping in can produce. Indianas depth has been a problem in past years but seems like the room is better now.
  14. While the Wilkinson facility is a night and day improvement from the old University High School gym, it’s set up mainly for volleyball. And doesn’t provide any practice area. But I’m sure several other Big schools aren’t any better. So using the facilities card does not apply here anymore. One of the nicest people you would ever encounter is Duane Goldman.
  15. Thanks. If Angel can produce, develop, I’m ok with 1,2 or 3 AA’s per year. Don’t need to win Big. Be in top 15 or 10!os good. Do you think Indiana’s coaching can produce this?
  16. So let’s get right to it. It doesn’t Matter how good the seed meeting is, or how smooth the tournament sectional runs, or how much space the facility has for the athletes and fans. Boils all down to the hospitality room food.
  17. My point is , would having a champion every two or three years pacify Indianas fan base? Knowing any title is out of question. By the way, Joe D. And Angel E. Had a few titles pretty close together.
  18. Realistically, I don’t see it in a lifetime. But does it matter ? If they can get a NCAA individual champion every year or two,
  19. Predictable though. No surprise here. As i said it is disheartening with the disparity in talent between the two clubs. No contest.
  20. Agreed with both comments here. Isn’t it disheartening here, to the contrast of just talent alone ? Can’t even have a discussion about individual matchups.
  21. So with a few of our starting 10 injured or dinged , do we put them out there or keep them off the mat for a better matchup down the road. Eventually they will see these guys again in tje big ten tournament. Nothing to gain here
  22. Thanks to Tina Lillard the ball got rolling. Iu , NCAA , and coaches association should be in the middle of this discussion. No doubt she lawyerd up and got some good advice. It can’t be tolerated. Too bad for the sport of wrestling neither coach ,for the respective teams involved here , spoke up. Everyone should be outraged. This kind of behavior has to be snuffed immediately as it happens. It’s so easy to do because of the nature of the sport. This can put a damper on popularity or growth of wrestling real quick.
