Big weekend for our program as we won our 2nd straight Midwest Regional Title qualifying 7 student-athletes to the National Championships in Lacrosse, WI http://sports.wabash.edu/news/2017/2/26/seven-little-giants-headed-to-national-wrestling-tournament.aspx Wartburg qualified 10 Augsburg qualified 8 Wabash qualified 7 Ithaca qualified 6 along with a few other schools Nationals is March 10th & 11th Coach Irwin

    Wabash College Wrestling

    4 Champs and 3 Runner-ups at the Indiana Little State this past weekend. All of the Indiana schools that are DIII, DII, NAIA or Juco were in attendance except for Trine. Lots of familiar names were in the brackets.     This past Friday night we took out Manchester University 38-7 on the varsity side and won 5 of the 6 JV bouts! Our goal is to be the 2017 Team National Champs and we believe we can do that with the firepower that we have returning along with getting our freshmen transitioned correctly. His brother Conner Lefever (National Champ) is also an assistant along with long time assistant Eracleo Vallejo who was a 3x National Qualifier and 1x All-American.     Video: Wabash: The Time is Now

    Wabash College opens up against Olivet College this Thursday, November 13th at Carroll High School. Wabash is currently ranked 3rd in the Nation coming off of a 9th place team finish at the NCAA Tournament last year. We will be giving away team posters to the 1st 200 fans through the door. Along with that, for every takedown we get in the varsity dual we will be throwing out a takedown shirt to the crowd. We expect to be throwing out a lot of t-shirts that night! It will be $5 for adults, $3 for students and free for kids.     New NWCA Coaches poll came out also with Wabash coming in at #3 in the Nation behind Wartburg and Augsburg College. We are looking forward to this weekend as we head out to the NWCA National Duals where 7 of the top 10 teams will be competing in the 16 team field. 2 of the 3 teams not there in the Top 10 right now we will see at the end of the month when we fly to Ithaka, NY to take on Ithaka and Cortland State. We are allowed to weigh-in 15 wrestlers at the National Duals this weekend which means the rest of our team will be competing at the Spartan Mat Classic at Manchester College Saturday.
