  1. Man we talked about it on gorilla Radio a couple weeks ago @Mr. RIght my Brother Tony wrestled Alex Tsirtsis a bunch we saw Griffith at the harvest classic. Triacoff, a Dual, conferences duals, Individual conference, lake county Tournament, and Griffith was in our sectional. Alex Went 256-0 soooo Tony didn’t win many of them
  2. I think his brother was trying to make knee look like that with his low and very wrong ranking. Hopefully he has a quick recovery, great kid and family
  3. Kyrell killed it, an amazing career hopefully he’s a couple time AA’s for the Citadel. It will be weird to see him in the Baby blue
  4. I know he plays football, so I would assume he wants to add size not overlooking but Hockaday is ahead of him and Shep
  5. Wayne did great and I got to hear about it all state finals Da Region is fighting a tough fight losing wrestlers to Illinois via Mt. Carmel Acuna from Illinois medalist 6th 113 Justin Williamson (Hobart) 4th 132 Evan Stanley (Lowell) 6th 138 Damian Resendez(Crown Point) it already sounds like a couple of Region in coming freshman will be taking their Talents across the state line But if we want to “back up the Brinks truck” we will probably have to do better
  6. I think a lot of those guys train at the same place. If that isn’t a plug for a wrestling academy I don’t know what is
  7. Way to early numbers 1’s ? 106: Peyton schoettle Roncalli 113: Case Bell Brownsburg 120: Nate Rouix Avon 126: Revin Dickman Brownsburg 132: Isaiah Schaefer Evansville Mater Dei 138: Jake Hockaday Brownsburg 144: Clinton Shepherd Crown Point 150: Easton Doster New Haven 157: Jeffery Huyvaert New Prairie 165: Adrian Pellot Merrillville 175: Waylon Cressel Warren Central 190: Noah Weaver Roseville 215: Caden Brewer Brownsburg 285: James Hartleroad Dekalb it’s the day after state and this can change quick.
  8. Thank you! We had a great time! Chasers had everything a state party should have pizza, adult beverages, some colorful language, friends, great wrestling talk and fans, some arguments but it was all love I am already counting down the days until next year!
  9. For all of you guys keeping receipts on what I am guessing is a kid who is shaking up the board. Do you think Crown Points coaches are going to keep these receipts and comments for if/when they are back on top. Coach Hawkins sent me a text this morning asking us to Ban @DawgPoundRed I’ll talk to Joe about it but I am not for censorship unless it’s something really offensive and not someone bragging on their squad everyone is celebrating CP failure and trying to minimize Brownsburg success. Cp didn’t lose a title The burg took that thing with 2 studs working on 4 titles, and if the rumor mill is correct they are adding another one real question how many people who are all worked up would take CP state finals this year(9 medals, a champ, a runner up, 12 qualifiers) for Their programs next 5 years? As a proud Calumet Alumni I would take that. we will announce on the state recap show what we decided
  10. Honestly Jake and Thrine is such an interesting match up because of their style. Jake wins a lot of matches with how quick he is on reattacks and how smooth he is. Thine might be the superior athlete. Demarco is another wrinkle, he is mean, wrestles edgy and has crazy good hips where he lands on top in almost every scramble. I know we all don’t get to see Thrine very much all year but kid showed up last year and stole the show beating Frazier who I think was ranked higher nationally a D1 committ and had a very impressive resume
  11. One of the best articles I have read not only on our great sport but in high school athletics overall. We tend to look at the sport in black and white. Win or lose and we forgot how much is going on in people’s lives take 5 minutes to read an amazing article https://www.indystar.com/story/sports/columnists/gregg-doyel/2024/02/15/shark-catching-brownsburg-sophomore-chases-ihsaa-state-wrestling-title/72578001007/
  12. The 157 championship in EC 1 vs 2 Brabender vs Pellot was a ready good match crazy final 10 seconds
  13. Not bad for a look ahead a year ago some of the weights are off but I could see a lot of these guys under the lights
  14. I know we have it in his permanent file somewhere it wasn’t #thecounty back then it was #younggunz but he did let us know.
