It is with the deepest of sadness that I share the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Mike Faulkner, Director of Operations. Mike passed away peacefully last evening, Sunday, September 25, surrounded by those he loved most. Mike was an incredibly valued member of the SCM Family for many years. Though he wore many hats over his tenure with SCM, he set the standard for them all. Yet Mike was far more than any position or accomplishment, he was a difference maker in the lives of everyone he encountered. As much as Beef loved Mishawaka, his love for his family was far greater. He will be remembered as the type of husband we wish for our children, the kind of parent any child would be so privileged to call dad, and the best of leader, coach, mentor, colleague, and friend. Our continued prayers and support are with Mike's family: Monique, Alex, Austin, Angel, Larry, and the many other extended members of the Faulkner Family. Information on memorial services will be shared in the coming days. He was 53 years old.

Well said BTR... he's been my sidekick for many years and we've had a lot of fun. He loved his family first, the Marine Corps second, and his officiating circles next. He set a world record for most black eyes in one season, too

It is with a sad heart and lots of tears, I need to announce that Gage McCoy of the Boonville High School Wrestling Team passed away yesterday at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Evansville, Indiana. Gage was a member of the Boonville High School Football teams and Wrestling Teams. He was a freshman and our Varsity 170 pounder. He worked very hard and was scared of no one. We ask for prayers to help his family and our wrestling family and the community to heal. Attached is a schedule of events for today, he ended life as a hero as he is a organ donor and will save countless lives with his gift. There will be a Hero/Honor walk today at Boonville High School starting at 5:00 PM if anyone would like to come and pay there Respects.

Congratulations to the 2022 IHSWCA Academic Challenge place winners. This is our second year for the program. This year's top three were:

    1st) DeKalb High School--Team GPA 3.569

    2nd) Roncalli High School  3.539

    3rd) Carmel High School    3.501

These Sectional champion teams distinguished themselves in the classroom as well as on the mat. The link at the bottom is the article that ran in the local paper about DeKalb's team.  The IHSWCA is very proud of all of these teams. They were all athletically successful while also placing emphasis on the student aspect of student/athlete. This year all Sectional champs with a team GPA of 3.25 or higher who were not in the top three will receive a digital Honorable Mention certificate.
