Aiden did not disappoint! Some great set ups and freestyle finishes to add in our tool kit! Great job Aiden. We will be back at it next week with Sean Schmaltz from contenders. 6pm, enter door 9. Just a few weeks left to prep for freestyle and greco state.

We are all set for tonight 4/15/24. We have Aiden Sprague for UInday. Aiden did two of our RTCs last year and was great. Enter door 9 starts at 6. We will have some time at the end for live wrestling tonight.

We have great numbers for this weekend and are expecting a great tournament. if you are coming just a heads up that Main Street and Indiana Street are going to be closed tonight at 9pm and will be closed through Monday. So if you are coming via 144 or 42 you'll need to avoid that area. You may want to give yourself some extra travel time to be sure. Our school parking lot will be open tonight and tomorrow during our event so that will not be a problem. I made my famous BBQ for the concession stand, it'll go quick so get it before it runs out!! Great clinic from Coach Eppert last night. There will be no RTC at Mooresville on 4-8-2024. But we will be back in action 4-15 guest to be announced. 4-22 we have Coach Schmaltz from Contenders Wrestling academy.

Monday April 1, 6pm enter door #9. Tonight we will have Brady Eppert from CIA as our guest clinician. If you've never had the chance to see Coach Eppert give a clinic, don't miss out, great knowledge and excellent teaching and communication skills. Lets pack the room tonight.

If you missed last night, you missed a great one. Coach Kreitzer did a tremendous job and showed some great freestyle techniques. We take next week off for spring break and then at it again April 1st with coach Eppert. Don't miss these chances to get better on Mondays.

We really are producing some great wrestlers in our state and more importantly these kids have a lot of class and respect. Indiana Gold boys battled hard but came up short 37-22. The Indiana vs Illinois All-Star Classic duals sponsored by IHSWCA are all set for 1pm on Sunday March 17. Come watch some of Indiana's best as they take on Illinois. I was told today that Illinois will get me their line up later this afternoon or early this evening.

It is at Mooresville High School this year. Not sure about having it streamed as of yet. $5 spectator fee. Not bad for the quality of wrestling.

Since those guys sit in on the seeding meetings and usually hang around the coaches in their area, if they want "smack talkers" I am sure they can point them in the right direction. Mooresville Regional: Not necessarily smack talkers but the list of coaches who have had success and have been around for a while with lots of contacts and information you could include would be several: Darrick Snyder, Maurice Swain, Josh Curry, Alex Johns, Anthony Meister, Brett Nabb. That regional also has two coaches that influence the area that are not on a high school staff but could add insight to the toughness of the regional: Chad Red and Sean Schmaltz.

Teams are almost set, the girls team is full. Boys team needs 113 and 2 at 120. I've sent a couple emails out today, but at this point if you are a senior wrestler at 113 or 120 contact me and we will go from there. Coach Mikesell

The coaches association has Regional Reps for each regional. Maybe start with those coaches and then they can direct you guys to the coaches from their perspective regional that have had success and are wired in with pertinent information.

The room was rocking last night, over 40 total kids with 6 different schools represented. Coach Runyan ran a great workout in preparation for ISWA state, thanks a million coach. Next week we will have Joey Butler for the freestyle kickoff night. Indiana state champ and currently wrestling for the Hoosiers. Enter door #9.

We will kick off our first Mondays at Mooresville RTC March 4, 6pm - 7:30pm. Our first clinician will be Briar Runyon. State champ and former head coach at Martinsville High school. It will be a folkstyle RTC to prep for ISWA folkstyle state. Last year we averaged 40 + kids and had more than 10 schools represented during the RTC season.
