  1. I agree Brooks @ 160 has a shot he will need a few things to go his way obviously but he works his tail off and gets after it.
  2. At 126 alone you also have Mills and Smiley I believe 5 out of the top 7
  3. I understand Football shape is different than Wrestling shape. However the point I made is that there are a number of High School athletes that weigh more 250 pounds and 285 pounds in shape and healthy. There were 10 Football players on Ben Davis's roster that weighed more than 260 pounds and 15 on Warren Central's. Are all of them in shape and healthy maybe not. But I am certain some of them are. Is it more or less Healthy to weigh 133 pounds and cut to 113 on a weekly basis?
  4. On a side note last years State finals had 4 pins @ 106 pounds total points in other matches 147 3 pins @ 113 pounds total points in other matches 127 7 pins @ 220 pounds total points in other matches 137 5 pins @ 285 pounds total points in other matches 108 Looks to me like there is plenty of action maybe some people just like watching scrambles out of bounds that don't score.
  5. Just based off of the High School Football state finals between Ben Davis and Penn. There were Six starting lineman that were over the 285 pound mark and going to College. They are at least in shape enough to play College Football.
  6. What are your thoughts on how Tsirtsis wrestles in College? His goal is 2-1 or 1-0. Is that like taking Nyquill?
  7. I have to meet you soon. Something tells me you are 300 plus pounds!
  8. The "Fat and Long Wrestling Academy" owned and operated by Thornton Melon. Where we teach not only the Slap and Grab but also the "Triple Lindy"
  9. Yes add a unlimited weight class and a 220 to college please!!!
  10. Davison beat Streck this year 8-1 but you have him getting teched or pinned by a 165 pound guy. Stick by it if you want it is just simply inaccurate.
  11. What about Samuels against Clark last year for 3rd?
  12. Again I am not sure you are thinking things through. The guys you mentioned are really good however beating the likes of Streck, Boots, Hammond, McClaine, Aiken giving up 40 or more pounds is silly. That is not to mention the quality that was there last year. Larson, Pokorney, Lee, Crider, Maddox. I wouldn't get rid of 106 or 113 either but every since 220 (215) was added there has been top notch quality guys. Lets not forget the best Wrestler in the country right now wrestles at 97kg (213lbs) not 125kg.
  13. Worse idea eliminating is 220! Especially considering the 220's we have had the last Six years! I am not sure what 220's and 285's you have been watching but to say unskilled is being short sided.
  14. That would be a tall order considering Below pinned him in 1:07 last Friday night.
  15. It is my understanding that the undefeated wrestler has as many as 10 FF wins. I could be wrong but I bet this was certainly discussed.
  16. 126 lbs I would go with Viduya but it could easily be Smiley 220 lbs will be Hammond (I bet this discussion at seeding was fun)
  17. 12 Schools only Two full rosters and One has 13 the next closest is 10 Looks like Forfeit will be the theme of the first two rounds only 220 lbs has 8 wrestlers
  18. Big thanks to Ryan Williams and all of the Beech Grove volunteers for hosting a great tournament. Really cool with the Parade of teams, Spotlight and Finals face off. Our parents, wrestlers and coaches really enjoyed it.
  19. Yes we do!!! I can't imagine how many times stalling would be yelled from the stands!!
  20. I am curious Nick and Mike if you guys were there early enough to see the last JV match? The crowd got into that a awful lot. It was at 220 and went to UTB with our guy winning on a take down with two seconds left.
  21. In my opinion I think it was there best chance to win the dual. If I were in their position I would have done the same. The thought being we will run the table with the remaining matches. They obviously expected bonus points at 145 which you stated you think would happen the next time they wrestle. I think at the least Sammy wins a decision (major or better very possible) and Luis wins a decision. They couldn't have came back from that. They did put pressure on their guys who they expected to put up bonus points. Just did not quite go as they planned. I don't understand a word you are saying here. It seems like a foreign language to me. You are certainly entitled to your opinion but that goes against everything we teach and talk about in our room.
  22. Why do I feel like there is going to be a IP Address conversation really soon. Poor Bobby!
  23. Oh wow I thought the School's Wrestling Program had to be apart of a Club using that Township.
  24. Reading these comments I realize what a unique situation I personally get to benefit from. Our coaches are far from part time (only in pay) because they are the club coaches also. I sometimes forget that the majority of wrestling programs are to your point part time or in season only. This season for our coaches started in October and will go until June. So the majority of our wrestlers will have that Coach since he started at 4 or 5 years old all the way through his High School career.
