  1. His Dad is insane ! His name is actually spelled Isaiah Mohmed - He’s a great kid , took on wrestling full time this past year. Was dabbling in football and baseball for awhile. His favorite food is everything, as is his Dads.
  2. Very Possible - I was talking to some other coaches and that could be what was meant. Great win for Indiana !
  3. That’s great ! Everyone was saying we hadn’t won in many years.
  4. Their 182 - said no thanks I’m not wrestling that guy. Ha was a great win for Indiana today !
  5. Seriously , Isaiah is no world beater. But damn he is tough to score on. And he got tilted like he was at a carnival on the tilt a whirl. He said “ he wasn’t strong , he was just good!” Lol

  7. If I could post a pic - I have one. It’s him. No offense to 1A but Isaiah does not get beat like that typically. I don’t see a 1A champ doing that to him. 2 times he has been beat like that. Today and at Super 32. The same exact way. Tilts. Ha.
  8. Isaiah said “man I need to work on tilts !” Lol First Dual Win In 5 or 6 years for Indiana.
  9. Missed that Samich for lunch at practice. Had to head down the street to get a Burger !
  10. I mean we can just grab my iPad and go impromptu Facebook live lol - Lots of Region kids on the team
  11. Looking forward to it - @ontherise219 you gonna get the broadcast going ?
  12. kids who work so hard become great when they have training partners - who can push them , when they have coaches who can push them or even a training partner their size. We had 11 kids this year -my son who was a SQ at 152 had training partners who he can literally just push over. Our room is literally the size of a closet No excuses - he got better - just some of the limitations and challenges you’re glossing over Resources make a HUGE difference His training partners were great his first 3 years never his size though way smaller the first 2 and way bigger his 3rd 106 partner - he was 120 113 partner he was 132 170 partner he was 138 in summer he has a very good partner - had he been in a bigger room with more kids and coaches I believe he gets better and better - maybe I’m wrong - but when I see a kid train everyday and not be challenged by anyone , not because he’s unreal , just because they aren’t on his level. That’s a challenge I would venture to say most big schools don’t have.
  13. All of that being said - since we are all here to promote our sport. Make sure you send your youth kids to our tourney this weekend. Hahah caps off at 350 - champion shirts ! http://www.trackwrestling.com/registration/BasicPreReg1.jsp?tournamentGroupId=106369132
  14. This - I know Y2 knows how much work we put in to market our program. As does My man Cosgrove. We have put together a summer team , we promote on social media , we have had a placer 2 of the last 4 years and 2 qualifiers the last two years. We host a youth tourney , we are trying to build it. We only had 9 kids at sectionals this year. We believe that we will grow over the next 2 years as we have a middle school program now. It is a Huge Struggle to get kids in the room. My son put in more work than most kids who play multiple sports , absolutely he could have worked harder. We could have only wrestled , he is getting pulled in many directions by coaches. That’s just my sons thing , as a whole though. I guarantee if we had more and more placers more kids will come. In 5 years we will run this back and see wheee we are. I have a 6th grader so I’m not going anywhere.
  15. Lol not fair ? Dude don’t make me kick you in your good knee. Going into only training during the season is a small school problem where to even have sports the coaches need every athlete possible. It’s a simple thing , everyone can’t go do national tournaments , everyone doesn’t have the resources to do that. Small schools don’t have the money to hire or attract the best coaches nor the rooms. It’s an uphill battle , but it’s a battle many of us take on to help our kids. As I learned this past year , going outside of our Midwest recruiting area - college coaches do not know how Indiana is and not seeing state placer next to a kids name that doesn’t do national tournaments you can’t even get in the door. Had we been a class system those same kids would have that “accolade” and it would open doors.
  16. Says the guy with 60 kids in his Room and 100 in the club. The prestige is great , for sure. When it comes to recruiting for college - the coaches outside our Midwest belt do not understand how Indiana works. And won’t even look at a kid who is a Semi State kid. And for a kid like my son who did not do the youth circuit , did not do a lot of off season tourneys he doesn’t have the accolades as others. Had we lived in Michigan , I would say he would be a two time placer. That’s an assumption yes. But an educated one.
