  1. Moving the number to seven and even five is still an all in event, as all schools have the opportunity to work the halls to move from three kids to seven kids. I don't think the IHSWCA is saying any particular school is not eligible, but to be eligible you have to have this many wrestlers. Kinda like saying you have to have this many points to eligible to be considered as an wild card to the team state event as all schools have the opportunity to score enough points, just has the have the opportunity to works the halls.
  2. If the point is to shoot for fairness, change the rule regarding the number of team members to at least seven. As we all know is 7 x 6 = 42 which the most a team could muster out of dual is a tie, which would be highly unlikely. It's not too late to rearrange the classes based on the change. It is IHSWCA not the IHSAA, so the rules can be changed.
  3. What school would you pick to join the conference? Blackford?
  4. I was just pointing out its possible that since Dulaney has left the program it could be the reason of the defections, which by IHSAA rules is not allowed. I am in agreement that if you openly accepted transfer in, they most certainly should not prohibit the transfers. I also noticed a previous post that Yorktown stated there are always two sides to the story in which a subsequent post asked Yorktown to share their position, which as yet to happen. I too would like to see the reasoning for blocking the transfers.
  5. My two cents, I agree that the kids should be able to go to school wherever their parents so desire. However, it could be possible these moves were due to "athletic resons" with the reason being that Dulaney is no longer a coach at Yorktown, if one would consider that an "athletic reason". Therefore per the IHSAA rules not allowed.
