Congratulations to Riley, really enjoyed that interview. He just won his 4th title in dominating fashion & continuously talks about his teammates & coaches. I got the impression he was more proud of helping his team secure 3rd place than he was of his own individual Championship, very humble, thanks for sharing.

Let me just say thank you too all of volunteers and iswa staff for doing their best at putting on this great tournament. All I have to say is what the heck is the deal with the wooden medals?

As many of you know, I have been in the corner for many Lefever matches. I made the trip to Lacrosse to witness history. It is a surreal feeling seeing Riley accomplish this feat that very few at any level have every achieved.

The Lefever family came into my life about 10 years ago when the twins came to a camp at Garrett. Since then I have traveled all over the country to coach and watch these kids wrestle. Just to type that I am proud of these three guys doesn't do them justice. They are extreme competitors on the mat, but as Gregg Doyel stated, when they step on the mat they flip the switch. These three are the types of kids you'd want your daughter to marry. It starts with great parents and a great support system at home. Congrats not only to the Lefever family, but the Wabash family, the Carroll Charger family, but even beyond that the Indiana wrestling family. This is something as wrestling fans that we can be immensely proud of.

Thanks for the great ride Lefevers, the stories, the trips, the fun times will always be something I cherish. I thank you guys for letting me be a part of the process and trusting me with your sons. It was a great ride and these are the types of people that make coaching so worthwhile.

You have to be a pretty good 3 year starter to break 100 wins. I would guess only about 5-8% of high school wrestlers earn over 100 wins. I went to state twice and didn't reach 100 wins.

Congratulations to Cainan, I had the opportunity to attend the Cub Classic and he looked sharp both days going 10-0. This was my first time at this Holiday tournament and I was very impressed with how well it was run. Madison H.S. had 5 mats going and very rarely did the action stop. This event might not have had the number of big name match-ups that the Al Smith or ED Classic did, or the attention, but the wrestling was impressive and several of IN/KY studs put on a great show for those who showed up. Congrats to Jeffersonville, who won the team title, also going 10-0. Madison WC put on a great event, so thank you to all that assisted in making the tournament a success.

Who cares if they made a thread..good for these wrestlers...it makes me laugh that you took time to put this thread down...if it's a waste of time then why are wasting time posting in this thread..this is a wrestling site so idk what your deal is...most parent, coaches and wrestlers wouldn't take time to talk smack either..you're entitled to your opinion but 102-9 is pretty damn impressive...I guess being proud is wrong now...

I just want to give a big shout out to Alston Bane and all the wrestlers from Cathedral at state tonight. The Cathedral wrestlers and Alston paid tribute to my late son, who passed away in November. The Cathedral wrestlers wore green laces in their shoes, the green is to show support for mental health awareness and Alston wore green in his hair and on honored him on his warm-ups. I can't thank these young men enough for their show of support. It is much appreciated. Thanks again!

Not a huge upset but @ 145 #4 Vaughn over #2 Timberman 3-2. Upset by rankings alone, Vaughn is returning from last years runner-up showing to Nick Lee at 132.

Very tough weight class, it seems like every week we are getting good match ups between top 15 guys, with most matches ending in a close decision. #6 Garcia holds 2 victories over #3 Mills but 2 losses to #4 Murphy. #2 Fair holds multiple big wins over top 10 ranked kids but 2 losses to #13 Waldensak. To steal a line from an earlier thread, the only clear cut winner here is the fans. I definitely do not envy the guys having to rank this deep talent pool.

Very well run tournament. Thanks to the Director & all of his behind the scene assistants. Weigh-ins went smooth, full mats were great for the kids & consistent officiating by a good group of young men. First time participating in this particular event & I was very impressed with how well things were run at this wonderful facility.
