  5. So is he wrestling at Penn this season? Shouldn't he be ranked?
  6. Do you only have them wrestle one match or do best 2 out of three?
  7. Let’s seriously make this happen!
  8. Micic is the GOAT Indiana wrestler in my opinion. Next level is an Olympic Championship! Also, Indiana is having great representation at the World level. Congrats to all of the Indiana Men's and Women's wrestlers competing at the World Championship. How cool is it that our Indiana wrestlers got to be a part of a World Championship team?!
  9. I bet the line up doesn't pan out like this. It's going to be a heck of a line up though! They are loaded for bear!
  10. This will definitely make the team race more interesting. Indian Creek will be bringing over some studs that will shake things up. Not sure about Franklin as they are coming out of one of the toughest (if not the toughest) regionals in the state. Rest assured,Tonte will have his crew ready. Salem brings a couple ssq over as well. With these additions the stage is set for some ssq's from last year that may not make it out of sectional. Franklin, Indian Creek, Salem, and Eastern Pekin, welcome to the best hospitality room in the state! JC better put some more chicken in the smoker!
  11. Happy for Jordyn! I've known the Raney's for several years as they were on one of my first travel teams. Great family and fantastic wrestlers. They are on a path to do big things at the next level.
  12. That was at Garrett, right? I thought there was one at IHPO too but didn't know if it made it on Ridiculousness. Maybe just Flo. LOL
  13. So many GOATs. Indiana is blessed to have a herd of GOATs!
  14. The match didn't end where the picture above is. The Owen Valley wrestler had his leg in a Merckle position. He didn't have the head and arm like a merckle though. His left hand was under the left armpit of the Mater Dei wrestler. His right hand hadn't been secured behind the right arm of the bottom wrestler yet and the ref called it a takedown for 2. The official was already walking past then the OV wrestler secured his hand behind the bottom wrestlers armpit just before time ran out. From where I was it definitely looked like a 2 before time ran out. I'm not sure what Coach Schaefer questioned but I wondered if he asked the official if he had both arms secured behind the bottom wrestler's arms? The official may have realized that when he awarded the points that the OV kid did not have both hands secured behind the Mater Dei's wrestler's arms, then took away the takedown. However, the OV wrestler did secure it before time ran out from our vantage but the official had already walked around to the other side.
  15. What about when a wrestler is on top, instantly dropped to the leg and is dragged across the mat on his belly by the other wrestler trying to get away? Is that not stalling?
  16. It’s just that a prediction. This one didn’t pan out. Still going to support the Horn’s. Nate did a great job of turning it on at the right time. Congrats to Revin for having a dominant tournament.
  17. High powered offense versus high powered defense. Definitely the makings of a great match!
  18. Has anyone scored a point on Horn since IHPO? (Earned an escape, not from being cut)
  19. Heine Brothers Coffee is legit! Started with a single roaster and coffee stand at a Kroger in Louisville. We treated some family from Oklahoma to some Heine Brothers when North had a 3-way dual with Jeff and Corydon at the beginning of the season. Going to be some exciting matches. 138 is definitely the craziest. Could be some fireworks! 160 Boomer Hester (4 seed) could upset Trotter (1 seed). I believe that they have seen each other earlier in the season, right? Don't sleep on Saevre (4 seed) from North either. How cool would it be to have 2 4th seeds in the finals?
  20. As results have come in there are all kinds of #sectionalshakeups! It seems like a lot of crazy matches and events that will affect regionals next week. Are there more this year than usual? What #sectional shakeups in the past have happened?
