Tune into Gorilla Radio tonight for the nominees!
We will have a special vote on here for which of the nominees are the first ballot hall of famers! Unlike the baseball HOF, we encourage steroid use and controversy! BUT, similar to the baseball HOF, it is ran by a bunch of crooked media members with an agenda.

Technically I only have around 20,000 posts. The other "posts" are results, wrestlers, and other information I have added to the website.

Didn't Newkirk coach at Prairie Heights fairly recently?
I heard he's still there as the head coach, just a rumor though.

If you, sir @TeamGarcia aren't first ballot...there should be no HOF! I bow to the master....but consider myself the keeper of all things BS....of which you post(ed) many!
The problem with putting him in the HOF too early is that he might become complacent and not post as much since his lifetime goal has been achieved. We don't need the content to suffer if he gets into the Hall.

Still haven't received the survey, but some interesting topics here:
1) Do we really need 2,3, and 4 point nearfall? It's not that hard to turn at our level. I get why NCAA did it, but our athletes aren't quite as difficult. I wouldn't hate it and it fits with how we coach, but not sure it's necessary.
2) Mat side weigh-ins: I had a discussion with other coaches about this earlier this year. I'm not sure it's ever gonna be possible. In theory, it would be good and Would help curve athletes that want to cut a ton and force them into wrestling closer to natural weight HOWEVER, I don't think it gets passed because it would only take one kid to think dehydrating and getting down to weight to help the team is a good idea or gets pressured by a coach and then they pass out or have a serious health issue on the mat due to sucking weight for our sport to be cancelled forever.
Great idea in theory. Would be extremely challenging to ensure kids/coaches are being smart and could possibly damage the sports reputation in a very harmful way.
I love the idea of mat-side weigh-ins, but have never seen any implementation strategies that make it feasible. I can't imagine running around all day making sure 20 kids are on weight for five rounds. That would be utterly insane to have a kid weigh-in five times in one day and keep that close of tabs on his weight for 10+ hours.

If you include Dingo Brigade, I think Captain Obvious would have to go in.
Captain Obvious never made the transition, he must have been afraid of me.

GoldMedal-Dude was hilarious and could have fun with any topic.
Unfortunately he never transitioned to IndianaMat.
@J-Biceps was an original and was always fun to banter with. Usually he makes a customary one post every year, but he probably forgot which email he used to register.

Here some of my choices

Lake Central: Undoubtedly Kyle Ayersman. Three time state champ (2010, 2011, 2012) and took third in 2009. 193-2 overall career record and I believe a four time Al Smith finalist with three titles.
He doesn't eat bacon, he is disqualified.

I think the rest of Evansville better be thanking the Mooresville regional or they'd be below Fort Wayne in the rankings.

They go by the “5th Semi State” and I was curious how well they would stack up. I could see Fort Wayne getting to 7 in this duel.
No it's to disparage the Fort Wayne semi-state as much as possibly can. Why not compare to New Castle or East Chicago?
The Mooresville regional had 6 champs, 14 in the top 4, and 21 total placers. Fort Wayne had 3 champs and 12 in the top 4. New Castle had 4 champs and 10 in the top 4. East Chicago had 1 champ and 10 in the top 4. The rest of Evansville had 0 champs and 2 in the top 4.
Yet here we are trying to make the Fort Wayne semi-state look bad.
-
What's the point of this? Based on last week's wrestling the Mooresville regional would win at least 6 of the 14 weights against the rest of the state's all stars. They might even get to reverse a couple losses

Yes
2. Wrestlers being considered inbounds with one supporting point.
5. Awarding three points for a takedown instead of two.
6. Awarding two points for near-fall after a two-second count, three points for a near-fall after a three-second count, four points for a near-fall after a four-second count.
8. Requiring only one supporting point for wrestling to be considered inbounds.
9. Eliminating that knees be inside the boundary to earn a fall or near-fall with the defensive wrestler out of bounds.
10. Allowing that the pinning area not be the “total” of supporting points when the defensive wrestler is on their back.
12. Adding grasping of the ear guards or mat as a delayed call.
13. Adding head-butting to the list of illegal holds/maneuvers.
14. Expanding to include gouging or poking of the eyes to Rule 5-29-1 (Unnecessary Roughness)
No
1. Implementing a harsher penalty for unnecessary roughness.
*Not sure what more you need
16. Requiring mat-side weigh-ins.
*Too many variables for it to be done properly7. Charging the wrestler with a loss when using a medical forfeit.
3. Specific measurement requirements for required girls uniforms.*Dumb, but will likely get passed
4. Video replay in championship events.
*Shouldn't be used in high school
Don't care
**Good luck** 17. Mandating coaches’ attire at dual meets and tournaments – similar to other NFHS sports.
15. Requiring at least one coach in the corner of a match.
11. Allowing a wrestler to touch the mat in front of the starting line in the neutral starting position.
