Yea... that was a tough one! Proud of my guy had a solid run. Just wrestled a bad match. Mahan did great. Back to the drawing board and practice on Monday! Good luck to all the placers! Feel bad for Tiranas too. Great family.7 points

who wants to see a match with kyle snyder and mason paris ?
Justin Ratliff and one other reacted to base for a topic
Chad Red Jr was undefeated state champion in 4 years, ranked #1 in the country at his weight. His record this year as a redshirt freshman is 17-7. College is a whole different ballgame. The strength and agility advantage that Mason Parris has over other indiana HS wrestlers would be negated completely by Snyder. Like FCFighter said -- One day maybe but don't think that it would be close now2 points -

Match score was wrong causing the match to change course. Schute's coach should have complained and got the following sequence whistled as "bad time". Schute was denied his true place of glory, due to this error. Swain can't hold his mud.2 points -

Top Middle School Wrestlers 2017/2018 Season
southernpride reacted to Indiana7 for a topic
I see argument with that being said you can say that for lot of kids. Ashton has three kids ahead of him that he has beat with last 8-12 months All kids he majored or more but I feel at the moment for what they have done lately they deserve to be ahead of him and to be honest I only use these rankings to motivate him because they don’t mean anything and there are lot of great kids on the list and lot of great kids not on the list. I’m glad they are on here and sig has spent the time in doing this. If a kid isn’t on the list use it for motivation and have him make a statement at ISWA state.1 point -

Seabass1989 reacted to SWINfan for a topic
When you are streaming, Track shows what matches are upcoming on each mat. So keep an eye on the dashboard as well. In fact, the best way to stream is to use Google Chromecast or similar casting device and cast to a big screen TV, then you can still watch your computer screen for others or the dashboard. Of course if you have 2 TV's and 2 Chromecasts, you can have video of 3 matches at any given time!1 point -

Best Weight Ever?
Wrestling Scholar reacted to maligned for a topic
I agree, especially at 106. It's more like a future stars division. Also, it's hard to compare a lower weight's total accomplishments with an upper weight's total accomplishments because except for the rare Mitch Sligas or Mason Parris's of the world, they don't win titles until the last couple years of their careers. That 120-132 is the sweet spot where we're going to have wall-to-wall guys with past credentials because it's physically big enough to have those juniors and seniors who already filled their trophy cases with 106 and 113 medals. The same quality juniors and seniors at 152 and up, for example, probably didn't place as highly as freshmen and sophomores.1 point -
Not to mention a 1000 yard receiving season in football and a state qualifier in wrestling. Kid is crazy talented1 point

Great job as usual! If you're gonna listen on the archive OTR is on about 32 minute mark. Loved the Faulkens quote OTR pulled out of the Finals "being like one big dysfunctional family reunion" at the Bank due to all these kids knowing/wrestling each other year round and in offseason and parents thus getting to know one another. Hate each other on the mat as rivals, but brothers/families off. Good on Dudelow for knowing his stuff and taking interest.1 point -
Sprinting to get seats
OldGoatGrappler reacted to UncleJimmy for a topic
This is a great idea and fundraiser! Sell them with our handles on them and we all walk around Bankers and meet eachother during breaks and after in the local establishments!! "Hey, there's @ClownBaby! " Where's he been by the way? Of course da Rat don't have his handle on his...just his avatar pic! I appreciate the offer but I already have my sweet IM dry fit shirt courtesy of a local ref..it was too small for him. It was a bribe to get AuntJanie to make Oreo dirt pudding for the hospitality room. It worked.1 point -
Sprinting to get seats
Kookie953 reacted to UncleJimmy for a topic
Concur. Along those lines, and this only works if there's just a couple of you.. 1. wear a neutral color shirt..gray/white/black..most teams have a variation of those colors somehow. 2. Know at least one name from about 6 of the larger teams that are the ones usually hoarding the seats..you know who they are! 3. Just tell the nice lady/man with bed sheets/coats/tape that you are Jason Tsirtsis (random name to protect the innocent but use the name from #2 above of whichever team section your in) aunt/uncle and drove to watch him and just need a couple seats. 4. The mean seat lady/man will then become super nice, welcome you with open arms, ask about insert name from team section here and you plant your arse in their section. 5. Upon wrestling commencement, shed your neutral color shirt..throw on your loud and proud #PainTrain, Jimtown new State 2018 shirt. 6. Stand up and start the #PainTrain, Jimtown chant or my fave..Unleash the Giant saying!! 7. Duck from flying debris. Just a tip from your UncleJimmy.1 point -

whenever I have come across large numbers of seats being saved and they are unattended I simply remove the bed sheet, caution tape, or whatever they decide to use and sit my happy butt in the seat that I came to fair and square Seat saving only works if we allow it to work1 point -
Sprinting to get seats
Coach Nieman reacted to grappleapple for a topic
Maybe the Banker's Life ushers should crack down on seat saving. If you see a big blanket taking up multiple seats - tell them to take it down. The people who get there early and wait in line absolutely have a right to their seat - but not seats for 15 of their friends.1 point -
State predictions?
casualwrestlingfan reacted to leaveitonthemat for a topic
I predict there will be wrestlers wearing the really ugly clown pants, Tonte will bust out a signature suit, and Michigan/Minnesota will like what they see after their recruits are done!1 point -
I agree with your take, I think when comparing deepest/best weight classes, I would only include the ones in which the accomplishments were from previous years. Most of your lower weight classes, which the majority are underclassmen, will always be stacked once you look back at them. 120/126 usually are the classes that we get to see the meat grinders, of course this is probably because the aforementioned underclassmen will eventually end up right around these weight classes when they hit their Senior years.1 point
