Chad Red Jr was undefeated state champion in 4 years, ranked #1 in the country at his weight. His record this year as a redshirt freshman is 17-7. College is a whole different ballgame. The strength and agility advantage that Mason Parris has over other indiana HS wrestlers would be negated completely by Snyder. To add to the intimidation, frosted tips would've done the trick. You wouldn't lose a match anymore.

I wish I would have done more of the Brian Shute off-season training. I think I would have been tougher. Also, in hindsight, I wish I did my hair that way also, that would of intimidated more guys.

If I could ever rewind and do things differently, I think I would do the Swain prep before the match. Insanely overdoing lat-pulldowns, followed by rigorous jump roping.

Match score was wrong causing the match to change course. Schute's coach should have complained and got the following sequence whistled as "bad time". Schute was denied his true place of glory, due to this error. Swain can't hold his mud.

Be cool to see SA join AC and Bellmont with an individual champ.

Similar to the Hodge Trophy in College Wrestling, the Brennan Cosgrove Trophy celebrates the most dominate wrestler at the Indiana state tournament. 10 years ago In 2008 the state of Indiana witnessed the most impressive dominating performance by an individual in the state tournament that will never be repeated. To celebrate this achievement a select number of individuals will vote on the most dominating individual performance this year and the years to come. The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the state tournament. Best of luck to all competitors.

You should be proud! Your son is a stud and unfortunately he a bad match when it mattered. I will be pulling for him the next 2 years that's for sure... I would of loved to have seen him vs Warren this year. Also it seemed like every scramble went Mahan's way... not taking anything from Mahan he is also a stud and capitalized but couldn't believe how the scrambles went during that match.

I mean "I give in". I concede that Wildcat's statement is so concise and emphatic, that its not even worth an argument.

When you are streaming, Track shows what matches are upcoming on each mat. So keep an eye on the dashboard as well. In fact, the best way to stream is to use Google Chromecast or similar casting device and cast to a big screen TV, then you can still watch your computer screen for others or the dashboard. Of course if you have 2 TV's and 2 Chromecasts, you can have video of 3 matches at any given time!

I moved him out because there was a lot of deserving kids that went to middle school state and placed(most current tournament I can go off of). Plus as you can see this is just for fun, it does not have a official tab or place in rankings. Also if you look back I have gone against ISWA more then most have... no love for them. I can not look at each head to head of every kid in Indiana so things are going to slip by.

My club coach wore a singlet over sweats and took smoke breaks during practice.

Concur. Along those lines, and this only works if there's just a couple of you.. 1. wear a neutral color shirt..gray/white/black..most teams have a variation of those colors somehow. 2. Know at least one name from about 6 of the larger teams that are the ones usually hoarding the seats..you know who they are! 3. Just tell the nice lady/man with bed sheets/coats/tape that you are Jason Tsirtsis (random name to protect the innocent but use the name from #2 above of whichever team section your in) aunt/uncle and drove to watch him and just need a couple seats. 4. The mean seat lady/man will then become super nice, welcome you with open arms, ask about insert name from team section here and you plant your arse in their section. 5. Upon wrestling commencement, shed your neutral color shirt..throw on your loud and proud #PainTrain, Jimtown new State 2018 shirt. 6. Stand up and start the #PainTrain, Jimtown chant or my fave..Unleash the Giant saying!! 7. Duck from flying debris. Just a tip from your UncleJimmy.

I see both sides but at the same time teams should set together. Kinda odd 3 people setting in a sea of Portage if your kid is wrestling a portage kid. (nothing against Portage just the 1st name that came to mind and i have never had any issue with them. good people) Would be nice to have teams sectioned off and a lottery for the seats but doubt any schools knows how many people will come from that school and how many would be saved for them leaving a lot of blank seats and putting good seats to waste. With that said If you do try to save seats try to use reason. Get an idea before heading how many are coming and only save those as needed or maybe just your family in the same area don't do 10 rows or something dumb. Also if you do see people saving a seat just talk to them most people are willing to work with you. There could be a good reason as to why they might be saving a seat. I for one saved one last year for my Father he had back issue and i did not want him getting hurt in the crowed getting in, so he hung back. I got the seat and he came once it settled down.
